Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft).

After landing at the Tribhuvan international airport you will meet with our trek team members near the terminal gate holding your nameplate. He will take you to the hotel and quickly inform you regarding the further program. For today, you are free to rest and explore nearby areas on your own.

This is an extra day in Kathmandu that will let you relax after your long flight to Kathmandu. If it's your first time in Nepal You might do sightseeing by yourself at a few monuments like Kathmandu Durbar Square, Swayambhunath, Boudhnath Stupa, etc. And today, you will prepare for the trek. In the afternoon, you meet with the trek guide, and he will let you know about further trek plans. If anything is missing for the trek, your trek guide will help you to shop.

After having a light morning breakfast, you will fly to Lukla. The flight will offer you wonderful views of the Himalayan mountains. Upon landing at the airport, you will meet with the rest of the crew members who will join you for the trek. The trail from here gradually descends to Phakding through the forested path.

Leaving Phakding behind, the trail moves through dense forests and small villages. You will reach Monjo from where Sagarmatha National Park begins. The trail from here ascends steeply, crossing numerous bridges and streams to Namche Bazar.

Today is a rest day in Namche Bazar. You will start the day at a leisure pace and go on a short hike to nearby areas like Everest View Hotel, Syangboche Airstrip, etc. This hike will you to acclimate your body with the altitude. During your hike, you will get to see stunning views of several snow-capped mountains like Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, Ama Dablam, etc. You can also visit the Everest Photo Gallery and the Sherpa Cultural Museum.

From Namche Bazar, you ascend through beautiful rhododendron forests alongside small mountain villages. On the way, you will get to see heartwarming views of snow-capped peaks like Mt. Everest, Mt. Nuptse, Mt. Ama Dablam, Mt. Lhotse, etc. Passing by Imja Khola, you will reach Tengboche. This village houses the oldest and the biggest monastery of the Khumbu region, the Tengboche monastery.

Leaving the lodge behind, you descend through lush forest and reach a tiny hamlet known as Deboche. From here, you will be crossing numerous suspension bridges over Imja Khola at different points and reach Pangboche. Stopping by the Pangboche monastery, you will continue ascending and reaching Dingboche passing by Orsho.

The trail passes by windswept pastures and isolated huts of yak herders. You will notice a change in the terrain as you approach Lobuche. Today, most part of the trail passes by scattered shrubs, grasslands, and boulders paths. Likewise, you can see mountains like Lingtren, Khumbtse, Pumori, etc on the way.

The day begins early and you will have a warm breakfast, enjoying the surreal landscape. After that, you move out towards Gorak Shep, which originally was the base of Mt. Everest. From Gorak Shep, you ascend alongside Khumbu Glacier moraine and Khumbu Icefall. The trail will be tougher than other days and involves ice walking as well.

Upon reaching the base camp, you will find yourself surrounded by layers of white snow and the high point of the mountains touching the sky. You will spend some time at the base camp and return to Gorak Shep for a night stay.

Today, you will wake up early in the morning and begin walking towards the famous Kala Patthar. This place is situated just above the Everest Base Camp and known for offering gorgeous sunrise along with 360-degree views of the Mt. Everest. The trail slowly ascends following a steep path. Later, you descend to Lobuche retracing the same path and continue descending towards Dzongla.

This day includes crossing the Cho La Pass. From Dzongla, the trail ascends steeply alongside Cho La glacier and takes you to the top of the pass. From the top of the pass, you can see breath-taking views of the surrounding. Further, the trail descends through a rocky path and reaches Phedi. You will continue descending towards Thangnak, where you will be spending the night.

Leaving Thangnak behind, the trail moves along the glacier route and reaches the first lake. From here, you will pass by the second lake and reach the picturesque Gokyo village. The trail will offer amazing views of Himalayan scenery and mountains.

Wake up early in the morning and hike to Gokyo Ri to enjoy lovely sunrise and wonderful landscape. Later, you will descend towards Machhermo, enjoying sensational views of Mt. Makalu, Mt. Everest, and Mt. Lhotse.

The trek continues following a downhill walk to Phortse Tenga. From here, you will trek through dense forests of pine, rhododendron, and local incense. Further, the trail steeply ascends and descends to Khumjung village. Walking on a flat path for some time, you descend and reach Namche Bazar.

From Namche Bazar, the trail follows the same path as before. You will descend steeply through the national park, crossing many bridges. From Phakding, ascend to Lukla through the forested trail.

After having early morning breakfast, you fly back to Kathmandu, enjoying the last views of the Himalayas. After you hit the runway at Kathmandu, you head to the hotel and rest for a few hours. In the evening, you will have a farewell dinner organized by the company.
