Annapurna Base Camp Trek is an amazing journey in the Himalayas that takes you to the lap of Mt. Annapurna (8,091 m), the ninth highest mountain in the world. We have designed the Annapurna Base Camp Trek itinerary based on our field experience with ample acclimatization days to make sure there is no risk of altitude sickness. As the trail progresses towards Annapurna Base Camp, you will notice a significant change in vegetation. There will be many ascends and descends throughout the trek along with steep paths, dense forests, rivers, and bridges. You have to prepare yourself mentally and emotionally to spend days in one of the remote parts of the world.

The trail passes by many beautiful villages, where you will get to greet and spend time with locals from several different communities. From the daily life of locals to their distinct culture, tradition, and practices everything can be observed during Annapurna Base Camp Trek 11 days. Moreover, the trail also includes temples, monasteries, and chortens. Ghandruk, one of the finest villages in the Annapurna region, presents you with gorgeous landscape and ancient norms & values of people from the Magar community.

During the Annapurna Base Camp Trek, you get to see stunning views of snow-capped peaks like Annapurna Range (8,091 m), Mt. Hiunchuli (6,441 m), Mt. Gangapurna (7,455 m), Mt. Fishtail (6,993 m), Khangsar Kang (7,399 m), Mt. Dhaulagiri (8,167 m), etc. Upon reaching the ABC, you will find yourself surrounded by white giants, a once in a lifetime experience and view, unlike any other place.

Itinerary

Day 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu (1,300m/4,264ft).

After landing at the Tribhuvan International Airport you will meet with our trek team members near the terminal gate holding your nameplate. He will take you to the hotel and quickly inform you regarding the further program. For today, you are free to rest and explore nearby areas on your own.

Take a morning flight to Pokhara. The flight will be short and scenic. From there, you will drive to Nayapul, the starting point of the trek. The trail to Ghandruk passes by lush forests and small villages. On the way, you will see a range of vegetations.

From Ghandruk, the trail ascends for an hour to Kimrungdanda. You can see stunning views of Annapurna South, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Mt. Hiunchulu, and Mt. Ganggapurna on the way to Chhomrong. The trail further steeply descends to Kimrong Khola and leads you to Chhomrong.

The trail today mostly includes an uphill walk through dense forest. You will reach Sinuwa from where you pass by another beautiful forest and reach Kuldihar. The trail then descends to Bamboo.

Leaving Bamboo behind, the trail passes by damp and cold lush forests, where you will come across a diverse range of flora. You will also come across steep sections on the way to Deurali.

You will begin trekking towards ABC early in the morning. The trail passes by the Machhapuchhre Base Camp. You can see wonderful views of numerous snow-capped mountains like Annapurna Range, Mt. Hiunchuli, Mt. Gangapurba, etc on the way. As the trail gradually ascends to the base camp, the vegetation will disappear.

After having breakfast, you will follow the same trail back to Bamboo. You will be accompanied by a beautiful landscape view on the way back to Bamboo.

After having breakfast, you will trek towards Jhinu Danda. There will be many ascends and descends today. You will pass by small settlement areas before reaching Jhinu Danda. At Jhinu Danda, you can enjoy natural hot springs.

Enjoying breath-taking views of hills and snow-covered mountains, you will descend to Nayapul. From here, you drive to Pokhara, where you will be spending the night. In the evening, you can spend time soaking calmness of Phewa Lake and strolling on the vibrant streets of the Lakeside market.

As per your flight departure time for Kathmandu, you will head to the airport. Upon reaching Kathmandu, you can take your time and rest. In the late evening, you will meet with all the team members over a farewell dinner organized by the company.

It is time to say goodby to each other. Our adventurous trip to the base of the world's ninth-highest mountain comes to an end. You will be transferred to the International as per your flight departure time.
